Judging

Judging Process

Categories will be judged by a small group of judges and they’ll be assigned based on judges’ expertise and always avoiding any conflicts of interest. Judges will read and score their allocated entry forms, considering any supporting materials submitted. Judges will be asked to give a score for each question within the entry form. These will be combined to give an overall score for each entry. All judges’ scores will then be combined, and only the highest-scoring entries will determine the shortlists. Judges will e-meet to discuss the highest-scoring entries and then agree on the winner for each category. Judges may, at their discretion, award a high commendation on each category.

The shortlists will be announced on Monday 25th March. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 23rd May.

Confidentiality & Impartiality

To ensure that our awards are impartial, ethical, and transparent, we ask that our judges sign a charter agreeing to:

  • dedicate sufficient time to reading, judging and scoring the entries
  • delete all judging materials and marks immediately after the judging period
  • declare any conflicts of interest
  • not allow personal relationships or experiences to influence judging
  • keep judging discussions confidential and contained only to the judging panel
  • not share confidential material, judging papers or entries with anyone
  • not notify anyone that they have won or that they are shortlisted ahead of the official announcements
  • not give any feedback to entrants as to why they have not won or were not shortlisted – all requests for feedback must be directed to Tamarindo.

Become a Judge

If you are an industry expert and have over 10 years of experience within the renewable energy space, we would welcome your application to join the Wind Investment Awards 2025 judging panel.

Why judge?

Many of our judges have described it as the best CPD experience they get all year. By reading and scoring entries, you get exclusive insight into industry trends, the opportunity to review leading industry deals, and enjoy senior-level peer networking with fellow judges.

Judging isn’t for everybody. It involves at least a day of pre-judging followed by a 2-hour video conference judging session. However, many of our judges return year after year! As part of being a judge, you’ll be invited to attend the Wind Investment Awards Gala dinner.

Judges also receive promotional assets to use on their profile and social channels and an opportunity to blog or contribute content across our extensive network.

As always it has been a pleasure to be involved in these awards.
