ACWA Power has formed a joint venture with state-owned Indonesian firms PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara and PT Pupuk to develop the largest green hydrogen facility in Indonesia.
The trio are developing the $1bn Garuda Hidrogen Hijau project and expect to achieve financial close in 2025, with first production due in 2026. The project is set to run on 600MW of wind and solar power, and produce 150,000 tonnes of green hydrogen a year.
