Arise subsidiary and Finsilva partner on 500MW quintet

June 12, 2024

Arise subsidiary Pohjan Voima and forestry firm Finsilva have extended a partnership by identifying sites in Finland for 500MW of wind and solar projects.

Pohjan Voima is already working on three wind farms partly located on Finsilva land in Karstula, Keuruu and Parkano. The new agreement deepens this relationship by identifying five areas with the potential for around 500MW of wind and solar capacity, with the potential for battery storage too.

Per-Erik Eriksson, chief executive of Arise, said: “We are delighted to announce this co-operation agreement between Pohjan Voima and Finsilva. This partnership marks another milestone in our growth strategy, adding 500 MW of new greenfield early-stage projects to our portfolio, proving that we are on track to deliver on our 2025 portfolio targets.”
