Crown Estate sets out 4.5GW Celtic Sea tender

The Crown Estate plans to start the tendering process for 4.5GW of floating wind projects in the Celtic Sea in early 2024.

The organisation is set to award support for projects in three development areas with the potential for up to 1.5GW of floating wind projects each. The sites in the Floating Offshore Wind Leasing Round 5 process are off the coast of south Wales and southwest England.
