EnBW and TotalEnergies win in 2.5GW German tender

EnBW and TotalEnergies have won the rights to develop offshore wind projects totalling 2.5GW in Germany’s latest offshore wind tender.

Germany’s Federal Network Agency has today announced that the Offshore Wind One vehicle led by TotalEnergies won the rights to develop a 1.5GW project on the N-11.2 site, paying total lease fees of around €2bn.

Meanwhile, EnBW has won the rights to develop 1 GW project on the N-12.3 site in the German North Sea. It is set to pay total lease fees of almost €1.1bn.

Klaus Müller, president of the Federal Network Agency, said: “The results show the attractiveness of investing in offshore wind energy in Germany. They are another important step towards achieving the offshore expansion targets.”
