Linde unveils second Brazilian green hydrogen plant

Chemicals giant Linde has unveiled plans to build its second green hydrogen production plant in southeast Brazil.

The company has announced that its subsidiary White Martins will build, own and operate a 5MW pressurised alkaline electrolyser plant next to its existing air separation facility in Jacarei, São Paulo. The plant is set to be powered by local solar and wind farms, and is scheduled to be commissioned in 2025.

Once operational, the plant is set to supply green hydrogen to glass maker Cebrace to reduce emissions from its glass melting furnaces in Jacarei.
