Macquarie Asset Management has raised more than €8bn for a European infrastructure fund that will invest in companies focused on activities including decarbonisation and digitalisation.
Macquarie said its European Infrastructure Fund 7 achieved its final close in December 2023 with commitments from 100 pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, asset managers and fund of fund investors. It said around 92% of the commitments came from investors that have previously invested with Macquarie Asset Management.
Macquarie Asset Management has €170bn of assets under management in its infrastructure, green investments and natural asset platform. Its Real Assets portfolio includes stakes in more than 170 companies and over 105GW of green energy assets in construction, operation and development.
