Abu Dhabi developer Masdar has agreed to develop a 1GW hybrid wind, battery storage and power-to-X project in Jordan.
The company has signed a development agreement for the project with Jordan’s Ministry of Energy & Natural Resources at the COP28 climate talks in Dubai. The green hydrogen phase would be located near the Port of Aqaba, which is on the country’s Red Sea coast.
