Pennsylvania-based emergency lighting backup power technology manufacturer Myers Emergency Power Systems (Myers EPS) has acquired Canadian battery energy storage system provider Storage Power Solutions (SPS).
SPS will be rebranded under Myers EPS, a statement said.
As part of the transaction, Myers EPS is launching its ‘EnerShed’ product line, a “smart energy storage solution with scalability starting from 60kW”.
John Daly, CEO of Myers EPS, said: “We are extremely excited about our acquisition of SPS and the best-in-class design expertise the SPS team brings to the Myers EPS organisation. Likewise, we are thrilled to launch EnerShed, which is highly customisable and possesses unique product capabilities. We have one of the most flexible systems on the market, allowing us to meet a broad spectrum of customer needs including retrofitting power systems. As we look ahead, we plan to partner with a wide range of go-to-market channels, including solar installers and EPC contractors, to offer reliable and safe systems.”
Laszlo Lakatos-Hayward, founder of SPS, added: “We are very excited that SPS has joined the Myers EPS family as we have a shared focus on innovation, quality, safety, and customer service. The combined forces of our two organisations, along with the launch of EnerShed creates a unique product offering serving the most pressing energy needs of our customers.”
