No bids in Estonia’s 110MW Saare 3 tender

Estonia has concluded the tender for its Saare 3 area, which can accommodate up to 110MW offshore wind capacity, after receiving no bids.

The country’s Consumer Protection & Technical Regulatory Authority announced that no bids were received during the tender period, which ran from 2nd to 4th July.

This tender failure follows the award of development rights for two sites in Estonian waters last month. Deep Wind Offshore won development rights for the up-to-1.5GW Saare 2.1 site in the Baltic Sea on 21st June, and the up-to-487MW Saare 2.2 site on 28th June.
