Nordex to restart US production in Iowa in 2025

Turbine maker Nordex is restarting nacelle production in US state Iowa in early 2025 due to high demand in North America.

The company said the plant in the city West Branch is set to produce nacelles for its N163 model and a product specifically tailored for the US market. The company plans to begin recruitment and training for workers at the plant in the second half of 2024, and start ramping up production in the first half of 2025.

José Luis Blanco, chief executive at Nordex, said: “The production of nacelles in the US is an important next step in the expansion of local sourcing and manufacturing in North America.”
