Procter & Gamble signs PPA at 140MW Swedish scheme

April 25, 2024

Consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble has signed a 10-year power purchase agreement to buy over 90% of the power from Renewable Power Capital’s 140MW Sörlidberget wind project in Sweden.

The PPA represents around 400GWh of electricity a year. RPC is building Sörlidberget as part of a 553MW cluster of four wind farms in Sweden’s Kramfors and Sollefteå municipalities.

The company ordered 80 Nordex turbines for the cluster in January, with installation due to start in spring 2025 and commissioning due by early 2026.

Steve Hunter, managing director of power markets and asset management at RPC, said: “With this deal, we are proud to have reached yet another major milestone for our largest investment to date. RPC has an impressive range of partners and we look forward to working with such a significant player as Procter & Gamble on their decarbonisation journey.”
