Siemens Energy said “worst is over” after turbine troubles

Siemens Energy chairman Joe Kaesar has said “the worst is over” after the company faced major setbacks in 2023 due to problems with its subsidiary Siemens Gamesa’s onshore wind turbine models.

Kaesar told an event at Davos on Wednesday that no further problems had emerged with the company’s onshore turbine platforms after its last public comment on the matter in November. Siemens Energy is working on a turnaround plan for Siemens Gamesa, which it said would break even in 2026 and that no further structural changes were currently needed.
