Matthew Burrell

Matthew is a Senior Claims Manager within the Ryan Specialty Renewables International team. Matthew started his career at Howden Specialty as a Claims Technician in 2017, initially handling oil and gas and combined liability losses with the Offshore Energy and Liability team before joining the Power and Renewables Claims team as a Claims Executive in 2019. Over the next 7 years Matthew assisted insureds with their claims on their global renewables’ portfolios, with a particular focus on UK & European risks. In May 2026, Matthew joined Ryan Speciality Renewables International to assist the Head of Claims on the management and day to day handling of a growing Rest of World Renewable Energy portfolio which encompasses a variety of Renewable’s assets such as Solar, Onshore & Offshore Wind, BESS.
