Founded in 2008, OST Energy had delivered expertise to over 1,000 projects across 30 countries through its ten year tenure. However, to support further international growth and entry into new sectors, the firm recognised the need to build its profile and reputation in the market. To tackle this, OST Energy partnered with Tamarindo to reposition itself as a global thought leader and raise its profile among key stakeholders in finance and development. Initial efforts focused on refining OST’s core messaging and launching a coordinated international media campaign. This included highlighting the firm’s regional successes in Europe, the U.S., Africa, India, and Australia, and promoting its expansion into emerging areas such as wind energy, battery storage, and solar PV. Following OST’s acquisition by a major global engineering firm, brand strategy and messaging guidance became even more critical. The campaign built long-term visibility through media coverage, interviews, and thought leadership, securing placements in both trade and mainstream outlets like The Times, Financial Times and BBC. The result was a strategic shift from reliance on word-of-mouth referrals to a proactive sales and marketing approach that drove project wins and business growth. OST benefitted from consistent media presence, increased brand recognition, and greater influence across its core markets—establishing it as a trusted, global player in the renewable energy sector. In 2015 OST Energy was sold to Edif ERA and subsequently acquired by RINA Group in 2016. Now branded as RINA Consulting, OST Energy forms a major pillar of the energy business unit. At the point of sale, OST Energy had 110 employees, 8 international offices and had advised on over 30 GW of energy projects. |
