The ever-decreasing cost of wind projects encourages developers to increase turbine efficiency while keeping development costs low enough to attract investment. Further, there is little to no regulation regarding fire safety for wind turbines which has put project operators at greater risk of catastrophic fires, as well as higher insurance premiums if those risks aren’t actively managed.
