Dr Mathias Bimberg

Bimberg leads the infrastructure team at Prime Capital, which has €4.4bn of AuM. Its funds invest in energy transition assets from renewable generation, battery storage to hydrogen and derivatives production and have secured funds this year from supranational institutions. In 2025 Prime concluded battery storage deals in Poland, Finland, Sweden, France and Germany.

Since 2015 Bimberg has been responsible for the development of the investment strategy of the funds and the supervision of origination and selection of new investments as well as divestments.
